king or ranger

weeping...

do i give my heart away knowing full well i will be hurt... do i love and show kindness letting people in again?

do i become the king or stay the ranger? rangers are alone in the wild... hardened by trials... kings are about their people and weep alot.

do i trust knowing my trust will be broken... love and pain or protect myself... what does it matter anyway? they are here today gone tomorrow... i thought there was friendship... instead of more acquaintances... someday maybe... at least we are kind of close.

I want to be with the lord... i desire to leave everyone behind and grow with him... but then i would kind of be missing the point... so i stay with the group and move through the wilderness slowly instead of running ahead... i love them... but sometimes thats hard.

and i weep...

Airport Testimony

Hello everyone,

It's been a while since I've seen you all, so wanted to give you an update on all that I've been up to since I've been back in New Hampshire. All of the interns are getting back into the swing of things. The weight and intensity of the program has been building and in order to lighten the atmosphere we have been taking time for activities like sledding. This weekend we are all headed to Boston for a conference with Jim Driscoll about the seer gift.

I want to share a quick testimony. Because of recent events in our world I was concerned about the amount of time i would need to get through airport security so I gave myself several hours. The airport was nearly empty and I was ushered right trough the metal detectors and Homeland Security. I had quite a bit of time to kill before my flight. I honestly did not want to return to the internship so I headed for a T.G.I. Friday's to kill time.

I was mumbling an angry conversation to the Lord while looking at my lunch. A few minutes later a young man carrying a book about business negotiation came and sat next to me at the bar. I felt the Lord's presence and decided to start a casual conversation without any agenda. So I asked to look at his book and said, "Hmm... interesting." Then he asked about what I did for a living. I replied, "I am involved in a mentoring program and I am an intern studying to be a motivational speaker." That is what prophetic people do... motivate people. He asked if I spoke publicly and I told him, "sometimes to a small group of 10 to 20 people, sometimes to larger groups, and one time to over 1000 people." He then asked, "Does that pay well?" I said, "No not really... sometimes I will meet with people without agenda just to answer their questions... and once in a while they will cut me a large check afterwards... but I generally expect nothing." He liked that idea. So I talked about the difference between manipulation and encouragement... about the world system versus Kingdom princaples.

I began to tell him how we do a motivating exercise called "when I look at you I see" and then asked if he would like me to demonstrate it to him. He said, "Sure" so I prophesied over him. He was a little blown away and then asked what flight I was on... we were on the same flight, boarded together, and sat next to each other. For the next several hours he asked me questions about business and I quoted the Proverbs, the parables of Jesus, John Paul Jackson quotes, and revelation I received on the spot with no agenda of preaching at him. I simply answered his questions and used his language - business, not Christianese or New Age language.

When were about to land he said, "So you seem very spiritual." My spirit leaped... here was the open door I had waited patiently on for several hours. I said, "Well as a matter of fact I interpret dreams. I am a Christian but not like any Christians you have ever met." He said, "You're right, I will never be the same after this conversation. You interpret dreams?!? My wife has all these dreams that she believes are spiritual and can direct our lives! May I have your email?"

I gave it to him, and left the plane knowing that I had just partnered with the Holy Spirit to change that man's life. It was a divine encounter that could've easily been missed without having eyes to see and ears to hear what the Father was doing in that young man. I could have been so caught up in my own life that I would have missed what the Lord was doing in his life. I could have even pushed him away if I had a manipulative agenda. All of these things are things I could've easily done, but instead I just walked up to him and had a casual conversation with a new friend.

Now I'm back in New Hampshire with the internship with even more opportunity to influence people's lives while here at Streams. The Lord was so faithful to provide all my expenses for the last couple of months here. A couple people supported me incredibly generously as an absolutely spontaneous act; I didn't even expect those funds to come at all. I was so blessed by it, but now I am in need again. I do not want you to feel pressured... simply ask the Holy Spirit if you should help with my finances. Without support I can not continue in the work of the ministry.
